Magimix Luxury Toaster: 11536, Le Toaster
This is part of a series of Gentlemans Butler features covering luxury home appliances.
A toaster is a small appliance designed to toast multiple types of bread products.
The first electric bread toaster was invented by Alan MacMasters in Edinburgh Scotland in 1893 and continually developed since then, the most common household toasting appliances are now the pop-up toaster and the toaster oven.
Before the development of the electric toaster, sliced bread was toasted by placing it in a metal frame or on a long-handled toasting-fork, holding it near a fire or grill.
For some people they have always had the best that money can buy and for others they want dependability and durability. In many ways these will often result in the same answer.
Though if I tried to convince you that you lay awake at night, feeling flushed with excitement about waking up in the morning to use your Magimix toaster you might think this a little farfetched but equally when you do walk down stairs or if you are lucky enough for someone to be bringing you breakfast in bed you want the toaster to work well, time after time and these days with the amount of different types of breads you want a machine that can cope with them all. And though burnt toast may be something good for a sitcom drama most people like their breads to be evenly toasted or warmed. Lastly but with equal validity every breakfast is important. In the weekday it’s often about speed and if you have a family then capacity is definitely a factor (this takes 4 slices) and for the weekend your breakfast is the wonderful moment, forgive me for a little bit of dramatic license, when you wake up to glorious sunshine and snug under your duvet your beloved has brought you fresh coffee, orange juice and toast and croissant to enjoy whilst slowly you unwind and prepare for the day ahead.
From a young age I have spent a fair bit of time researching any home appliance purchase for all the reasons mentioned but lastly and in many ways possibly the most important, which is I want a purchase something that will last and carry on working day in day out, as the inconvenience and wasted time of having to deal with faulty goods is indeed highly frustrating.
There are several high end toasters one can purchase but the Magimix 11536, Le Toaster 4, 4-Slice, Brushed Stainless Steel is certainly up there at the top.
It was in France, in the heart of Burgundy, a region noted for its gastronomy, that Magimix invented the food processor 40 years ago. Most have their roots in professional products designed for commercial use with the aim of working well and lasting longer.
