Vegetarian Afternoon Tea at The Intercontinental Hotel, London is a perfect place for a business tea or to reconnect with an old friend and perfect for Arab and Asian guests who are very well looked after.

How often do you reconnect with someone you had not seen in a very long time? Well this happened to me recently, and we had not spoken in 29 years, not in a bad way, just lost contact. She was going to be in London for a few days on business, flying in from the US.
I am a fan of afternoon tea, not only as a lovely and civilised culinary tradition, but very English which is what I am, and it is something that I think has great structure and also perfect for business.

I felt this was also a great setting to make both of us feel comfortable by the nature of the time, being mid-afternoon was going to be easier on traffic and has a start and a finish (most afternoon teas are about two hours)
There are many fine afternoon teas in London, but I also needed on this occasion to accommodate a vegetarian diet, which is how I came across the afternoon tea at The Hotel Intercontinental on Hyde Park Corner London

I have always been a fan of The Intercontinental as though there are grander and more unique hotels, they always offer good service in a relaxed setting and their hotel rooms are I think fantastic, elegant luxury which has hit the button every time I have stayed in one.
We arrived and were immediately made to feel welcome.
The look is modern and minimal

Andrei was very friendly, and we started with champagne and attended to us along with his colleague. The scones for me were a little on the small side, but one can always have more.
I adored the handbag cakes and the vegetarian cakes were excellent.
It did not feel busy, which in todays world is rather nice as they do not pack the seating in.

I should also say that in my opinion it’s a perfect spot for Arab and Asian guests as many stay there.
