The Kings Road, Sloane Square, Sloane Street conjures up the height of sophistication; Ushvani is the embodiment of this word.
A beautiful building, a classic conversation incorporating old grandeur with Asian colours and textures.
It is evident very quickly is one is dealing with intelligent, articulate and confident people which is not only very refreshing but inspires great confidence as in its truest form a spa visit requires one to hand over trust to ones therapist.
My coat is taken and given time, no rush, a cup of ginger and nutmeg tea, which has warming qualities and is a muscle relaxant.
I am greeted by Sinead, who has a calming Irish lilt. It becomes evident very quickly she is very good. She is a true nurturer, has excellent technical skills and has a good knowledge of health.
The treatment room possesses a sumptuous shower, which I use as it not only refreshes one but warms the muscles which is good prior to massage.
After a sit down, going through procedures and concerns I lie on a lovely bed (solid and substantial), heated and I feel very comfortable.
My treatment uses breathing exercise, stretching (incorporating some Thai massage techniques) and hot compress.
Stretching is a vital part of keeping healthy which should be done prior and after exercise and is definitely one of my mantras for the year. “Michael do more stretching”
Ushvani also do Yoga and Pilates classes.
I genuinely felt better, more relaxed and looser.
After dressing I was taken downstairs and sat in their tea room to have Hibiscus tea which has qualities for reducing blood pressure, and imported glycerine.

A heated bespoke herbal compress is then applied to warm the body and relieve aches and pains.
The treatment then incorporates relaxing strokes derived from Malay massage, deep drainage from Balinese massage and stretches from Thai massage.
This combination of therapies will leave you feeling warmed through and rejuvenated.
