With a love for fine watchmaking and to mark the 85th anniversary of the iconic Reverso and the new collection, JaegerLeCoultre and The Watch Gallery have come together to create an exclusive Reverso watch.
An elegant timepiece which showcases a stunning blue-lacquered dial, recalling the emblematic colour of The Watch Gallery’s brand signature.
The mythical story of the Reverso began in 1931 when a British army officer who had broken the glass of his watch during a polo match in India, challenged Jacques-David LeCoultre to create a model sufficiently robust to survive a polo match unscathed. This challenge successfully accomplished led to the creation of the Reverso watch.

The Reverso took on the classic design codes of the Art Deco period and rapidly adorned the wrists of many personalities and trendsetters or marked key moments of History. For instance, the aviator and iconic figure Amelia Earhart.
In the 30’s Prince of Denmark engraved his family his Reverso watch and British gentlemen also personalised their watches with the coats of arms of famous schools and clubs, including the very exclusive British Racing Drivers’ Club.
There are two faces through a patented swivelling case. Thus, in a single gesture, the watch reveals another face and unlike all other watches, flat watches, it’s a three-dimensional watch: you can turn it.”
I bring you a photograph of myself at the famous swimming pool “Piscine Molitor” in Paris where I was attending the launch of a mobile phone in 2016. I felt that my look, the location and this watch would be a good fit.
On this timeless Grande Reverso Night & Day model presented by Jaeger-LeCoultre for The Watch Gallery, equipped with Automatic Calibre 967B, a blank caseback on the second face awaits to be inscribed, like a page of a new personal story.
With a special engraving design on the caseback, transforming the iconic watch into a personal and unique statement with great sentimental value.
With its distinctive blue dial and limitation of only 30 pieces, the watch combines understated elegance with striking rarity. In summary, the epitome of style.”
