Talk to us about experiencing The Gentlemans Cleaning Service. Cleaning, washing, ironing, bed changing, a true luxury cleaning service.

Having a cleaner is a very intimate thing, you have them in your home and for many a home help, cleaner, house cleaner or maid represents a vital part of keeping their life on track. In the past I have had a cleaner for 10 years, someone who looked after my flat, looking after cleaning, washing, ironing, flower arranging and extended to having curtains made for me and helping me de-clutter and tidy my life.

For anyone this is a much sort after requirement, but for many Gentlemen probably their need might be a touch greater.
Gentlemans Butler concierge services can arrange your cleaning services.

We work with a range of boutique sized company based in London which we find gives the personal touch and is exactly what we were looking for to bring to Gentlemans Butler readers and members a bespoke cleaning service. They are not too big or too small, in other words large enough to be able to satisfy varying needs and small enough where I know who I am talking with and can develop a relationship.
I wonder sometimes whether I should produce a Gentlemans Butler code of conduct. If I did the list would read like a who’s who of manners and common sense.
If I telephone or e-mail someone I expect a reply.
I want to talk with someone who is practical but possesses manners.
If there is a problem please tell the client, in my case me and do not bury ones head in the sand.
People will run late from time to time, but a simple text eases any worry and is again polite.
In relation to a cleaner coming in my home, the priority is trust.
After this it is a mixture of the following: easy to get on with, well presented, pleasant personality, ability to follow instructions and yes be able to clean.

The Gentlemans Cleaning Service is something we can arrange for you.
A few words of advice from myself about booking services, an area I have 25 years of experience.
I think particularly for men they may be super organised at work, a whiz kid on an excel sheet but when they return to home life think it should take care of itself. Indeed that is what Gentlemans Butler Concierge Membership aim to please.
One way or another however you will need to allocate some time to organise your cleaner.
If you really do not want the hassle then drop us at [email protected] and we will endeavour to take care of this for you.
Or we advise you undertake the following processes
Make a cup of tea, take out a piece of paper and breath….mmmmm
List what you are trying to achieve i.e. clean house, spring clean, wash clothes, ironing…….
How often to you want this
Do you have any preferences or requests in relation to your cleaner
Will you be in the property or are you happy to leave keys
After you have a list, this will give you the framework for your home cleaning requirements.
One thing that I know from experience is everything in life pretty much requires a financial allocation and a time allocation which sounds obvious but this does need to be understood as your life might be manic its important when we are in this zone to acknowledge that this will require some of our time, so that they can do they job which will very quickly deliver benefits to you.
It’s the same as running a business. I have in fact been in that position on many occasions when I am so busy and I need things doing but feel I cannot allocate anytime to training and briefing the person. You will need to find some time as a successful job needs a brief.
If is practical maybe see if you can work from home for a couple of times whilst your cleaner finds their feet as it also gives you the chance to let them know your specific ways you want things done. As always this is also something that Gentlemans Butler can do for you.

Our elite premium cleaning services provide cleaning, washing, ironing and bed changing services and yes I needed to advise, help and show as we need to do in life with practically everyone who is new.
I advise you produce your list, take them round your property, show them where things are and then find a seat and get on with some work, so you are not breathing down their neck but are equally in ear shot, so they can ask questions.
I am very happy with Dessy, a young Bulgarian lady who comes weekly, is always friendly but gets on with her job and is very easy to have around.
Everyone has their own way of looking at life, some never criticise anyone, certainly not openly and others will go round their home with a fine tooth coombe pointing out every indiscretion. My advice is to use your nous. If in general things are good, but they look a bit nervous, try saying something positive and then bit by bit tackle the issues.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY – The Loo
The British and their Toilet. We are obsessed with them. Even the way we refer to them, calling them the toilet or the loo, can tell one a lot.
Thomas Crapper in the 1800’s did much to raise the profile of this much needed invention.
The importance of a smart, clean and full functioning bathroom in the home, hotel, bar or restaurant says so much, and I know that ladies will subconsciously make quite a lot of deductions by the standards they find.

I look forward to the future with our cleaning partners.
