I recently visited Sophie to experience a luxury manicure and pedicure and found a 5 star hotel experience in an intimate setting.
One of life’s pleasantries should be having ones nails looked after. A time to unwind, have a cup of tea or glass of water and get ones hands and feet looking good.
As men wake up to the need to look smart they also find out that it’s really quite nice! I say this with a smile on my face because I have absolutely no qualms about being looked after but as a rule English men sometimes feel guilty about such things.
Well if you need an excuse here are some good ones: Ladies like Gentleman to look good, walking into a business meeting with groomed hands increases your kudos, it’s healthy, relaxing and you look much better for it.
Sophie Gass is very me, as I immediately liked the décor. It’s like walking into a mini top end spa.
You get to sit in comfort, something a surprising amount of places forget to get right.
Ladies then started my treatments at the same time, cleansing, cutting, buffing, filing, cuticles, massage and then finally a clever trick with cuticle oil and some cellophane leaving your feet totally moisturised.
In all I was in and out in about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
In general most men will prefer to have their nails buffed but increasingly I like to have a gloss on my hands and a very pale pink on my toes. Gosh you all say. The pale pink just makes the nails look healthy and you do not really notice the colour. I also find this looks after the nail better. But there are various options from nothing, buffing, polish or a mixture.
In addition the salon has lots of lovely pieces of design to buy, silver, fabrics, candles, flowers and fashion. Great to pick a present for someone special
