As you wake in your palace, the sun is shining, your Butler is polishing your Bentley, your darling wife leans over to give your kiss on the cheek with a joyful “Happy Father’s Day” then a tap on the door, brings your trusty maid with your morning tea…..

If you had been a fly on the wall earlier in the week everyone was scratching their brains as to what to buy a super handsome, successful and talented father with just about everything he could desire!
…….Forward wind to sitting on your deck chair outside, and you are feeling nicely fulfilled after a fantastic lunch with all your family…… As you ease back, as all Dad’s do and what a lovely feeling it is, you drift off into nod nod land….. with dreams of being young.
As you wake you are greeted by another peck on the cheek by your beloved wife with “You thought I had forgotten” and YOUR FATHER’s DAY PRESENT of BEER & SOCKS……
You could not make this up even if you tried but it’s funny how a little lateral thinking and a present that mixes a bit of fun with something a little more serious which of course is beer can really be so perfect. As they say some of the best things in life are so simple.
As a beer lover myself I loved this fresh and fruity Belgium Beer and certainly wearing the socks whilst drinking my beer did bring out a wry smile.
Belgium is a country that understands tongue in cheek humour with its heritage from Tintin to Hercule Poirot the famous fictional Belgian detective, created by Agatha Christie. As you I am sure know Belgium is famous for its beer and has a distinct eye on style in a slightly natty way.
The English is also a nation of beer lovers and the fact that so many jokes are made about giving socks makes actually giving them that bit more fun, especially when you can still wear them with style. So whatever your style, wherever you’re going, and regardless of what you’re planning on doing this Father’s Day, you can’t go wrong with the classics – beer and socks.
