QMS Medicosmetics Gentleman’s Facial in Sloane Square

1 – Standard of Service – (friendly, ease, cleanliness, punctuality, did they listen) – Excellent but in a slightly different way. I felt I was being treated by a medical expert with a friendly face. On my visit Amy was my facialist
2 – Description of Product/Service – (information and quality of service, ingredients) – My therapist spoke with real knowledge not only of her products and treatments but also of the whole subject. I was given the choice of how much information I wanted which worked well.
The Treatment
- Cleanse and analasis of the skin and discussed special needs and goals after which a suitable treatment was chosen.
- Exfoliation with Fruit Acids, gentle exfoliant cream and steam.
- When one gets older the skin cannot absorb active ingredients from products as effectively because of the dead layer of skin. The Fruit Acids dissolves the intracellular glue that holds these dead skin cells together to gently remove them. Resulting in the skin absorbing active ingredients more effectively for greater results. Also the exfoliation speeds up the skin cells natural renewal process, making our skin look more radiant and revitalized afterwards
- After exfoliation extractions removed and released blocked pores.
- The Algi mask was applied, rehydrating and removing any remaining dead and dry skin.
- The Oxygen machine is used with QMS Medicosmetics products to actively penetrate them deeper into the skin.
- The Activator mask then helps refresh and rehydrate the skin further. While the mask is on the skin a massage of neck and shoulder and a hand massage was undertaken.
- Moisturize with appropriate moisturizers for my skin
- At the end I was sat up and discussed the treatment
- Particularly loved mask and mousse for the quality of the ingredients
3 – Suitability for Gentlemen – In general yes. The décor is white and high tech so in many ways a-sexual however they should invest in some male orientated gowns. I personally like to get relaxed and comfortable and when I visited they had just a white skirt type gown. Not a major factor and in fact it reminded me of being on a beach wearing a sari, so not an issue but probably worth looking at.
4 – Comfort? – (Seats, heating/aircon, noise) – Perfect except for a buzzing light which was a bit annoying, everything else was just how I like it, large bed, brand new, spacious, luxury, immaculately clean and reassuringly professional.
5 – The Luxury/Pamper Factor – The Oxygen Machine
The machine is customized for our QMS Medicosmetics range and will help to channel all the active ingredients in the products deeper into the skin for greater results. The concentrator uses oxygen extracted from the air that passes several cleaning, cooling and compressing processes to reach a purity of 98% concentrated oxygen. This works together with the skin to speed up natural functions like the skins own cell metabolism helping the skin to regenerate and feel more revitalized afterwards.
The oxygen is also slightly antibacterial, great for someone with a tendency to problematic skin as it is helping the healing process of the skin. The Oxygen Machine is a popular choice before an event or a wedding because of its boosting effects, giving the skin that natural glow that is highly desired by any woman or man.
It was the first time I had ever had a mask over face my eyes and mouth and the result was felt. You need to have confidence in your therapist here. I could really feel the quality of the ingredients
6 – Above and beyond the call of duty? – (did they go out of their way to make me feel special or do anything beyond the job to make a difference) – In many ways there was probably not the opportunity though I did ask for some lip moisturiser which I like to have. They did not have any branded moisturiser though she agreed it would be a good product to have but she did find something else which worked well.
