Orel is a high-class beauty and hair salon on the beautiful and very classy Walton Street in London’s Knightsbridge, an area that is the epitome luxury.

Simple and to the point its easier said than done, especially when you are looking after clients for which high end luxury service and beauty is the norm.
Well to my mind, keep things simple but look after people as if they are the only person in the room.
I talk a lot about why people go to have a luxury beauty and hair services and of course the results are important but providing a luxurious sanctuary where style, relaxation, and elegance meet is so important and it’s a big part for me. If you listen to what people really say about their hairdresser, beautician or manicurist they often talk about them as if they are your friend. Ultimately making someone look their best is probably a true definition of a luxury gift.

When I recently visited luxury salon Orel on Knightsbridge’s fashionable Walton Street, I immediately bumped into an old friend who remembered me which is always a good sign.
An afternoon of being beautified at Orel, Knightsbridge
I booked in for an afternoon of pampering something I do for aesthetic reasons and to relieve stress.
I had a massage, facial, eyebrow groom, ear/nose wax and a gel manicure and pedicure.
To me a salon needs to be good but also be able to look after you.
This is very important.
Two ladies did both with ease. My afternoon drifted by with ease, before I left to attend a luxury style event at Harrods.
I started with a massage
Massage to me is part of life and this was a very good way to start.
Then eyebrows were shaped and waxed and asked to do the same for my ears and nose. I know very glamorous but it’s something that everyone should check but particularly for gentlemen who are starting to get older, as I am.
Into another room for a HydraFacial and I asked for manual extraction which Katarina which should win an award for. I have been having facials for over 30 years so in general my skin is reasonably good, but we all go through periods of stress and being busy which was exactly where I was in my life.
Then onto manicure and pedicure time.
Ahhh love a pedicure, particularly so as I walk a lot and a tip for you gents… you will get brownie points from your partner for having sexy feet!
I have normal varnish on my toes and gel on my hands, which I have done for years for 3 reasons. It lasts longer, looks more glamorous, which pleases me! and lastly, I have some ridged nails and the gel evens out the nails.
This is a perfect way of covering your beauty needs in an afternoon.

As I said earlier, to my mind a luxury beauty salon should make you feel welcome and at home and I felt just that and I left looking very sexy.
