120 Sloane Street, Chelsea
As with everything at Gentlemans Butler we believe in speaking from experience so I headed off recently to try out their Lord Sloane facial.
This is a part of town that I have visited since a young boy as my dentist was on Lower Sloane Street, and one was met by a butler who escorted one into the waiting room. Highly appropriate I say…
I was met by the excellent therapist Sophie Wager. Those familiar with Gentlemans Butler will know how much importance I place on people. Absolutely and when you are trusting someone to look after your face one needs to feel looked after. Whichever end of the beauty/spa/medical field one is working in, the need to be compassionate, authoritative and calming are vital skills not to be underestimated.
Sophie certainly has these skills in abundance.

After getting ready my treatment began.
– Started with a double cleanse using Skinceuticals simply clean which is a deep cleansing , pore refining gel cleanser which contains botanical extracts and fruit acids (and a few minutes of light steam with the cleanser)
– For the exfoliation part a 35% glycolic peel was used (glycolic acid is derived from sugar cane ,an enzyme which basically munches away at the dead skin cells and breaks the bonds which hold dry skin together, given one a really smooth glowing skin)
– Then a Skinceuticals face balm for the lymph drainage massage which is super anti-aging, helping with loss of lipids and collagen breakdown.
– Skinceuticals clay mask which contains botanicals and minerals to help calm the skin; and a hydroxy acid blend to gently exfoliate and lift impurities and remove excess oils.
– We then finished with a few drops of Skinceuticals Phloretin antioxidant serum , Sensicure cream gel and SPF 30.
A genuinely top class facial. My only comment is do expect to feel like you are in a medical environment, albeit a top class one as opposed to a Knightsbridge pampering salon.
