Spa InterContinental and Lee Kynaston, a senior male grooming expert, joined forces recently to develop a menu of fast and fuss-free treatments exclusively for the modern man. Using Elemis skincare products for men and designed to the specific needs of male skin.
Whether for guests to look their best before an important business meeting, unwind after it, a pre-date preen, or to combat jetlag after a long flight, these combination treatments have been designed for this purpose.
Standard of Service – (friendly, ease, cleanliness, punctuality, did they listen) – Very friendly. As you enter what is a very Gentlemen friendly space you are offered fruit, water and or tea/coffee. The Spa is not vast but well equipped so after filling in your form the therapist, in my case Chanell took me to my room where I also changed.

45 minute Perfection Facial. Balancing Lavender cleanser and toner was used.
Top-to-toe body scrub with Elemis Lime and Ginger body scrub is an invigorating sea salt, combined with an exotic trio of nourishing oils infused with stimulating ginger and lime exfoliates and tones the body, boosting metabolism
Elemis Milk bath body moisturiser has a unique formula that captures the essence of Cleopatra’s ancient bathing ritual. Its milk protein base is rich in nourishing vitamins, amino acids and minerals.
Mini manicure & pedicure using pro radiance hand cream for the manicure and foot cream for the pedicure
Spot wax for small areas of unwanted hair, ear, nose and brow hair tidy
Lip treatment.
The primary smell used in this treatment is rosewood as its very balancing and calming.
Suitability for Gentlemen – Very much so in fact I would say probably more male in look than female.
Comfort? – (Seats, heating/aircon, noise) – good temperature, very comfortable treatment bed however the aircon did make a little noise.
The Luxury/Pamper Factor – I did ask for my eyebrows to be checked, and she very happily did so. I also loved the changing coloured light that are used in one’s treatment room and the wonderful products from Elemis, particularly their fragrances which were very uplifting. The cocoonesque shape of the treatment rooms is a lovely design feature.
Above and beyond the call of duty? – (did they go out of their way to make me feel special or do anything beyond the job to make a difference) – Not applicable
Punctuality/Duration – Perfect
Value for Money – Reasonable
