Elemis Luxury super charger facial in the heart of Mayfair. Elemis is a class act, and in my opinion a perfect choice for gents who are new to beauty treatments.
Elemis is not only a well-respected global beauty brand but an award winning British success story. As many will know I have been involved in the beauty business for many years and have been a fan since first experiencing their products and treatments in the early 2000’s
I however had not been a long since their refurbishment and thought it was time Gentlemans Butler rectified this.

I had an event at The Ivy with the St Lucia Tourist board that evening so opted for the shorter treatment slot.
Their Mayfair salon is situated on the very cool Lancashire Court, tucked just off London’s famous Bond Street, and as you walk down from Bond Street the entrance is just on your right. Bright and hygienic, in my experience you will always be greeted by a smile and with the knowledge that they are well trained and know their thing and usually looking beaming with health.
Lauren was my therapist and can say with a 100 % honestly, she was not only charming and qualified but was highly attentive. I was asked to fill out a standard questionnaire which they have on their tablet. This is very standard but I have to say sometimes I really do feel we have gone form mad in this country.
Up the stairs into their VIP suite, you are cocooned in a modern luxurious environment.
An initial skin diagnosis that you will see increasingly in high end salons, which in brief maps you skin under the camera and from this they can detect a whole series of criteria, that not only allows the client to know the state of their skin but more importantly lets the therapist choose the correct bespoke routine for the treatment.
A change of clothes into their wardrobe and I am under the duvet, room set to the correct temperature, eye mask on and it’s time to drift away. I must also praise their bed which in my opinion is such a vital part of a proper luxury beauty treatment. It needs to be solid, wide and long enough with options to move up and down sections. I personally like my legs up with my knee supported, a warm room, preferably a duvet and eye mask. This might sound self-indulgent, to which I would say why not but practically every week we hear something about sleep, and the quality of sleep. You may not go completely to sleep but even 45 minutes of snooze in a comfortable environment is valuable time spent.
On a personal level I prefer my facials to feel a tad more refreshing, in that the creams and cleansers I experienced were a little on the dry side for me, but that may suite you. The results were without question excellent as my skin looked and felt vibrant.
BIOTEC Super-Charger for men;
This treatment involves a blend of different technologies;
- ultrasonic to help remove impurities from the skin,
- galvanic which harnesses positive and negative ions to help rebalance the skin- this helps the hydra-gel mask penetrate deeper into the skin
- red light therapy which stimulates the collagen and elastin production
- blue light therapy which acts as an anti-inflammatory leading to calmer skin
- due to dehydration levels in the skin, the therapist decided to use oxygen (rather than steam) Oxygen therapy replenishes the levels of oxygen in your skin, smoothing out wrinkles and restoring a youthful appearance, it also helps to ‘push’ products deeper into the skin
Always drink plenty of water, something I constantly have to remind myself about.
My beautician Lauren recommended The Balancing Lavender Toner, the pro-collagen Marine mask, the deep cleansing facial wash, the pro-collagen Marine cream and the anti-fatigue eye gel. Many brands including Elemis offer ladies and gents versions of products and there is regular industry discussion about the differences and similarities. Personally, where there is a choice I plump for the ladies versions. The facial wash and their pro-collagen Marine cream is a favourite of mine and perf
To summarise, as their awards infer Elemis and Elemis treatments are a class act, and in my opinion a perfect choice for a gift and in particular for gents who are new to beauty treatments, as there is not too much girly girly and men who could be a tad nervous will be well looked after and wonder within just a few minutes what all the fuss is about.
The Ivy and St Lucia was that more enjoyable feeling suitably refreshed.
