Franco’s kitchen team has prepared a culinary journey that embodies the spirit of Christmas with a delightful blend of traditional and innovative Italian flavours in a refined and modern setting. Franco’s delivers a true taste of Italy, complemented by exceptional service and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
I joined a small team to experience a private dinner at Franco’s to experience their Christmas menu.
From antipasti to traditional Italian cookies, the Christmas in July special menu encompasses the true authenticity of the country. Franco’s Festive Menu includes:
Selection of antipasti – Cured meat, cheese, grilled vegetables, chicken liver pâté
Chicken & mushroom tortellini with chicken broth
Roasted veal with roasted potato and glazed carrots
Panettone bread & butter pudding
Traditional Christmas Italian cookies
Fresh brewed tea/coffee with petit fours
A selection of sommelier-selected wines will accompany each course.
Franco’s decorated private dining room is the setting for this special event, with its bespoke scenic wall coverings featuring 17th-century etchings of the Italian countryside printed on canvas. Mirrored antique panelling and Art Deco brass light fixtures brighten and deepen the luxury look and feel of the dining room while the selected colours reflect the palette of the Italian flag and the existing statement chairs, making it the perfect setting for your festive dining.
Unbelievably I had never been to Franco’s until this visit. I had been meaning to go for ages and thankfully it was everything I was hoping for.
St. James class, super tasty food, wonderful comfort and atmosphere.

Franco’s, considered as one of London’s first Italian restaurants, was established in 1945. For over 75 years Franco’s has been serving the community of St James’s from early morning to late evening.
