The Brazilian Zero Downtime Facial at Dr Joney De Souza
Brazil nuts have been around for centuries and recently has been gaining popularity recently in the beauty industry. It is believed that women in the forest areas of Brazil make milk from Brazil nuts manually by their hands, and from the squashing and the crushing of the nuts, what results, other than fresh Brazil nut milk, is the after effect of super soft, hydrated hands, thanks to the selenium within the nuts.
In London, Dr. Joney De Souza has reintroduced this antioxidant ingredient (selenium) in his private clinic as a means of resurfacing and refining the skin of the face and neck.
Their senior aesthetic therapist Roma Sumskiene carried out my treatment.
Involved is the use of a high concentration of antioxidants applied after removing dead skills followed by the infusion of the selenium antioxidant which stimulates circulation and results in hydrated, and dewy skin.
The Brazilian Facial Experience
You are in a comfortable room but remember you are in an aesthetic environment so not quite as lush as you might have in a spa or salon.
Dead skin cells are removed, so the new, brighter layer below is exposed.
Selenium is applied penetrating deep into the skin.
Cell turnover is improved, which brightens skin.
The Facial Process
1 Double cleanse with ZO Hydrating cleanser
2 Exfoliate with ZO exfoliating polish and exfoliating activator
3 Microdermabrasion on full face to remove dead skin and open the pores
4 Apply stimulating peel for 5 minutes
5 Neutralise
6 Apply EGF Glow serum which is good for rejuvenation and pigmentation – massage into skin
7 Apply EGF mask
8 LED RED LIGHT – calms down redness and promotes collagen production for 15 minutes
9 Apply creams, serums and sun protection
After the treatment it is expected that your face may be a little red and dry for a few days so it is important to use plenty of moisturiser, vitamin serums and SPF for at least 5 days after the treatment.
The Facial Results
You will see increased glow to the skin, evening of complexion, reduction of hyperpigmentation, and improved skin tone.
Certainly, excellent for those pressed for time as it’s a 60-minute turnaround and I am sure you will not only be pleased with the results and I certainly was.
