Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea at The Playboy Club London
“Last Christmas I gave you my heart” …..well George and Andrew may have sung that but we need to think about Snow Bunnies and Valentine’s Princesses…….
Sadly the Playboy Club in London is nolonger however we wanted to share some of the wonderful decagence of an era where frivolity was applauded and where it was OK to allow polite sexuality.
I wonder if all this sugary love sends men off to the pub quicker than you can say Jack Frost.

The Playboy Club London is a Gentlemans Club and the décor is really quite cool. Think of a modern jazz lounge and a cool hotel bar and you will be on the right track.
It’s a chance for your girlfriend, wife or friend to get dressed up which most ladies do like, so you will get a tick there……if you are dying for the football results they do have large tv screens upstairs which usually have sport on…….the bunnies are not only charming but super cute …….hmmm you say will my lady not get jealous, well in my experience not, normally you will find they get into a long conversation about style, fashion, shoes etc ….”So you are off the hook JACK”
I adore The Playboy Club, predominately because I think it offers London something just a little different and rather than feeling sleazy I think you will find it upmarket, cool and sexy. In the past I have eaten, seen shows, had meetings and danced but on this occasion just before Christmas I was taking a good friend of mine for tea.
After a lovely walk down Bond Street with all the Christmas lights I meandered through Mayfair to arrive at the Playboy Club, situated between The Intercontinental and The Metropolitan Hotels.
We started with a bottle of bubbly, served in very modern chilled champagne flutes and then with the guidance of our charming Bunny tea was served.
Afternoon Tea Salvatore style – Christmas cocktails and cake!
Executive Chef Elmar Basziszta has ensured that Afternoon Tea has taken a Christmassy turn with a smorgasbord of savoury delights including traditional smoked salmon topped croutons to sweet surprises such as Austrian stollen, mini mince pies, macaroons and a range of hand-made chocolates. Salvatore has also conjured up a Christmas Afternoon Tea cocktail – The Smoky Chimney – this unique libation infuses rum and lapsang souchong tea for a hot smoky flavour making it the perfect accompaniment to the rich Afternoon Tea treats.
Christmas canapés and sparkling bubbles. Let the Playboy punch and bubbles flow as you enjoy a selection of and bowl food in Salvatore’s Bar or Baroque ……decadent champagne towers and festive cocktails to dining and dancing under the northern lights, let our Snow Bunnies ………….
Christmas cocktails from world-renowned drinks maestro Salvatore Calabrese
Playboy Club London’s marvellous maestro Salvatore Calabrese has unveiled four brand new cocktail creations especially for this year’s Christmas celebrations with a distinctly festive flavour: For a sophisticated sip try the Alaska – gin, chartreuse, bitters with a pear sugar rim for a final sweet hit; if you fancy something more indulgent and maybe a little bit naughty, why not opt for the Blizzard – a creamy concoction of vodka, limoncello and white cacao or the Avalanche with amaretto, crème de cacao and banana topped with cream, fresh banana and toasted almonds, which should hit the spot. Finally Salvatore’s tribute to the club’s glamorous hostesses is the Bunny Cuddle which is a fruity and fun cocktail of bourbon, Sambuca, pineapple, blueberries and lime!
