Corrigan’s of Mayfair for those looking for premium tasty food is a luxury restaurant on Upper Grosvenor Street in London’s Mayfair. The famed Irish chef, Richard Corrigan’s Mayfair residence delivers both in the way of cuisine and atmosphere.

In today’s everchanging world there is a great need to offer upmarket dining that concentrates on doing the simple things very well. This is exactly what Corrigan’s delivers.
This reflects Gentlemans Butler’s core beliefs in offering excellence and service.
Step inside the elegant and warming interior of Corrigan’s Mayfair, for a night of grace, glamour and experience luxury in a very natural way.

THE WELCOME …. In our opinion this is vital, even if individuals do not know all the nuances of etiquette a warm smile and being made to feel welcome counts for so much. I must pay particular attention to the head barman who went out of his way with a cheerful disposition to get the evening started in a positive way. This was much appreciated.

In a funny way the look of the restaurant is quite traditional with its peekaboo semi-circle canopies over the windows and with the restaurant being long against the street with the stairs going up. The rooms are not super high either, however not alarmingly low so it has a snug feel about it. Its not something you see so much these days and a perfect restaurant design to meet up with a friend as its not too large either.
We sat and enjoyed cocktails in Dickie’s bar getting our evening under way.

THE CLASSIC FOOD….
Richard Corrigan’s, Corrigan’s Mayfair restaurant brings guests the best of the land and the sea and is truly reflective of the seasons. Much of the produce is from Richard’s farm, Virginia Park Lodge.

Starters –
I had Hen egg, ham, pea and my friend the Scallops

Main –
I had lamb and my friend The Rabbit

Dessert –
I had The Custard Tart and my friend The Melon Cheesecake

Wines –
Australian, French red, German Reisling, Rose and dessert wine

COMFORT….
This is exactly what we like. Comfortable seats, in my opinion is where so many restaurants fall down, good food where we relaxed and even had a nice chat with two ladies next to us towards the end of the evening. We left with our stomachs rounded and well imbibed with smiles on our face.

When you do the important things well, life is simple. Thoroughly recommend.

Beware if you go to lunch here and choose the set lunch menu. I have been twice and both times the staff charged me separately for the glasses that were included in the set price. Hmmm…
