24hrs and see the sights in Chicago

Ever wondered what to do with a few spare hours in a city. Maybe changing planes, having a business trip or just like to live in the fast lane.
Splash, splosh, splash ….
Last week courtesy of Chicago Premium Outlets® www.premiumoutlets.com/chicago Gentlemans Butler visited Chicago to look at style, entertainment and Premium Outlets city of shops, a short trip outside the city where you can find major brands for a snip, as we say en Angleterre!
Chicago Premium Outlets offers everyday savings of 25% to 65% with regular sales. If you feel this is for you join www.premiumoutlets.com/vip to find out a great deal more.

So what can you do with 6 hours to spare or in other words from 9 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.
Well whistles at the ready here we go.
Walk out of my hotel which was The Hard Rock Hotel. Since I visited it was the St. Jane Chicago and now it is the Pendry Chicago. The building is the iconic art deco Carbide and Carbon building on Michigan Avenue.…
Walk down past The Chicago Theatre to The Millennium Park where you can stroll through, but over one of the world’s largest suspended parks, as there is a car park below.

Look at The Bean, not the official title but the one everyone uses. The Bean was designed by British artist Anish Kapoor

Through past the stones and the wonderful water features, where Children just do what they do best …splash, splosh and splash..
Then onto The Chicago Museum of Art to see … loved this, very relaxing, through Greek, Indian, Native American to a special exhibition of French Impressionism.

Then onto The Willis Tower, very very tall, used to be The Sears Tower but unfortunately not enough time….
Time for lunch, hop in a cab which compared to London is much cheaper …The Paris Club on Hubbard St .. mais biensure ! however this has now closed but you will find other great eateries of this style………….Time for a cheese burger, iced coffee and a crème brulee …exactly what the Doctor ordered… loved this place, dark, modern but with a nod to the past when Gentlemen wore spats.

A short walk to Trump Tower to see Donald! Fantastic, fantastic view from their outside bar looking out onto Lake Michigan ..

Though we did not have time they have a spa here which based on how everything else looks could be good.
Then back downstairs to my hotel…and its airport time.
Very, very enjoyable few hours spent in a city I knew very little about but genuinely impressed and loved the architecture.
